When another, lesser known company takes THE EXACT SAME CHEMICAL and markets it as “Generic Xenical” on the other hand, they’re able to offer the same drug at a much more competitive price.
Both drugs work in the exact same way (to prevent the absorption of fat in the body and to encourage the elimination of excess fat through feces) because both drugs contain the exact same dosage of Orlistat. Again, the only difference is that Xenical has the stamp of approval from the Roche company…and a higher price tag.
